TEACHING
Leadership & Group Dynamics (University of Mississippi)
MGMT 495 / FTF
Instructed the in-person section of MGMT 495 during the Fall & Spring semesters. Leveraged a combination of lectures, presentation tournaments, and experiential activities to disseminate concepts and facilitate the learning experience. Additionally, students managed a project in which they applied their learnings in the course to a real organization by describing the process for gaining entry to the organization, collecting relevant leadership data from the organization, how they would provide leadership-focused developmental interventions to the organization, and any anticipated challenges they may come across throughout the leadership development process.

"He bases the class on real world scenarios. He took out suggestions and opinions into account. We did activities on Fridays that did a great job incorporating the concepts we learned in class rather than expecting us to retain notes. The class was a group rather than individual students."
-
"Teacher showed great enthusiasm, every class was different"
-
"The set scheduling was nice. I really enjoyed having people come in and talk to us as well. There is also a lot of opportunity for growth; personal and professional, which is nice."
-
"There was a lot of open communication and the classroom is a safe place to speak your mind as well as hear from others."
-
"I really appreciate the teamwork and group activities. I also love how diversity and inclusivity was a big topic in the class. In a lot of my management classes, it was male oriented, and he made sure to emphasize the success and equal capabilities of women in business."
-
"He's amazing. I learned and retained so much information. He does a great job incorporating everyone and making us comfortable around each other. His grading isn't just based off of exams and quizzes, and he offers extra credit."

Organizational Behavior
(University of Mississippi)
MGMT 391 / FTF
Instructed the in-person section of MGMT 391 during the Fall & Spring semesters. Leveraged a combination of lectures, presentation tournaments, and experiential activities to disseminate concepts and facilitate the learning experience. Additionally, each student managed a project outside of class by recruiting and leading a team to achieve SMART goals of their choice aimed at benefitting others in the community (e.g., formulating and implementing recycling systems in their neighborhood, collecting donations for food drives, writing letters and sending them along with goodie bags to the elderly, etc.).

"I just want to say this is the best interaction I have ever had with a teacher. It's the first time I've gone to a class because I genuinely don't want to miss it. He teaches us theory and then makes us use it in a sense we understand and the implementation is great. He also motivates you to speak and creates an amazing environment by taking every answer and instead of calling us and just saying why it's wrong. He preaches us for participating and then tells us in a way that was connected to what we said so that we both know more of what we eventually said wrong and then the other right. So instead of just learning one answer you learn two."
-
"He was always very engaged, and he never let the class feel bland or routine. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and how unique the design of it was."
-
"He was enthusiastic about to topic and he cared about us. He made the classroom look like a panel discussion rather than a traditional classroom."
-
"Always prepared, nice, and forward coming. Whenever problems occurred, the instructor was willing to help solve them. The class was different in a good way and always surprisingly innovative."
-
"He always did great in his class and it was amazing. You seemed very passionate, and there was no difficulty in learning. Very satisfying lesson."

I wanted to email you and let you know how much I appreciated all the effort, time, and thorough detail you put into MGMT 383.
