HI, I'M POL
Ph.D. Candidate in Management at the University of Mississippi
As a native of Barcelona, Catalonia, I received a full athletic scholarship to compete at the NCAA DI level, allowing me to pursue an education in the U.S.
My academic background in Sports Science from the University of Barcelona complements the B.S. in Communication received at East Carolina University, where I investigated the underlying dynamics of interpersonal and inter-organizational communication.
While pursuing an M.B.A. at the same alma mater, I worked as a research assistant for the College of Business conducting research on human capital development and organizational climates related to diversity, inclusion, and bias.
Currently, I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at the University of Mississippi, fortunate to work with Dr. Kristin Cullen-Lester as my advisor and mentor.

WHAT DO I STUDY?
My research interests draw from the social network theoretical lens to study informal leadership, teams, and organizational politics. Especially, I focus on the microfoundations of strategic management such as the alignment of strategic priorities across teams and organizational levels, team assembly, and power dynamics.
